Devils’ Line: Season 2 – Everything You Should Know

Devils’ Line Season 2
Devils’ Line Season 2

The perfect way to describe Devils’ Line would be “still a better love story than Twilight.” The anime is about a girl named Tsukasa Taira. She learns of the existence of vampires, or as the series refers to them, Devils. True to vampire romances, she meets a Devil/human hybrid named Yuuki Anzai, who she starts having feelings for.

Devil’s Line: Season 1 ended with Tsukasa saving Anzai’s life by giving him some of her blood. This event leads to Anzai learning more about Tsukasa, further deepening their relationship. Can’t wait to see where their relationship leads? Here’s what you need to know about Devils’ Line: Season 2 and what it could be about.

When Is Devils’ Line: Season 2 Being Released?

It’s true that there’s still a decent amount of material to be adapted. However, Devils’ Line: Season 2 has not been approved yet. There are no confirmed reasons why, but the leading speculation is that it simply didn’t get that much attention.

This unique mix-up of Twilight and Hellsing sadly didn’t reach as many people as the producers hoped. There might still be a chance though, as even if Season 2 hasn’t been confirmed, the series hasn’t been officially canceled either.

What Would Devils’ Line: Season 2 Be About?

Season 1 covers up to Chapter 40 of the manga, with a couple of skipped chapters. The Devils’ Line manga has a total of 69 chapters, meaning a potential Devils’ Line: Season 2 would cover the last 29 chapters.

Anzai will seek out the true origin of his birth and the Hybrid Plan as he travels to Obihiro. He will learn more about his past and then accept and learn to control the Devil part of him more.

Tsukasa and Anzai’s relationship will inevitably keep growing. Tsukasa will eventually go and introduce Anzai to her parents. They even discuss their future and potential marriage together. Sadly though, the manga doesn’t go far enough into the future to give fans a wedding scene.

Which Studio Could Make Devils’ Line: Season 2?

If Devils’ Line: Season 2 ever does get approved, all eyes would be on the previous producers and studio. Kodansha and King Records handled the production of Season 1, while Platinum Vision was behind the animations.

While Kodansha does do smaller projects like Devils Line, it’s extremely popular for its production of massive, high-budget anime. Kodansha has been around since 1909 and is the name behind several hits like Attack On Titan, Tokyo Revengers, and Fairy Tail.

King Records is a producer well-known for its production of slice-of-life comedy anime. They’ve been producing anime since 1951, and some of their best works are Don’t Toy With Me, Miss Nagatoro, Sakamoto Desu Ga?, and Azumanga Daioh.

Platinum Vision started in 2016, so it’s still pretty young compared to the producers. According to Myanimelist, they’ve only animated about 11 anime. A couple of their animated shows are Kono Oto Tomare!, Servamp, and Koroshi Ai
