Destruction AllStars: How To Mute Voice Chat

Destruction AllStars is a pretty fun 16-player multiplayer game for those who just want to slam cars into other cars, gaining wreckognition along the way. However, as you start off with an open mic unless you mute yourself on the DualSense, it can get a little loud with voice chat.

If you don’t want your lobbies to sound like a Modern Warfare lobby, there is an easy way to mute other players and voice chat in Destruction AllStars, though it’s not anywhere obvious. In fact, it’s not in the audio settings at all, due to the fact that the game places you into temporary parties.

To disable voice chat in Destruction AllStars, follow these steps:

– Press the PlayStation button in the middle of your DualSense.
– You should then see a tile for AllStars voice chat, press square to disable it.
– Alternatively, you can then press X to go into this tile and mute individual players.

It’s a bit of an odd system, though you get the feeling that this is to make people use the PS5’s social features a bit more. Expect to see this as the default setting in pretty much every PS5 multiplayer game going forward.

Destruction AllStars is available now exclusively for PS5.
