Destiny 2 Leak Reveals Game’s Release Date

Destiny

No wonder video game publishers and retailers have a fraught relationship: the latter just can’t stop springing leaks for game announcements.

We had it most recently with Shadow of War, but this trumps that. According to an Italian retail poster, Destiny 2 is coming this September and will include a beta beforehand. Allegedly dropping on September 8th in Europe with a NA release the Tuesday before (as that’s the way it typically works), Bungie’s sequel to their FPS MMO is on the horizon.

Destiny 2

Apparently it’s legit, too. Bungie are reportedly going to announce the game properly today, so look out for a trailer before too long.

According to reports, Destiny 2 will differ drastically from its predecessor and focus more on inhabiting the empty worlds that took away from the original. You will be able to visit towns and have more varied quests, though it may need a lot more than that to interest the lapsed Destiny fan.

Personally, I am open to playing a sequel, but I am giving it none of my hype. What do you think?
