Deck13 have announced that The Surge 2, the long-awaited follow up to their sci-fi Soulslike hit, will be getting a worldwide release of September 24th for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Pre-orders are available right now, including the usual exclusive weapons, armour and equipment packs that are standard for video game pre-orders.
The previous game released back in May 2017 and cultivated enough critical and commercial success for a sequel to be announced in February 2018. In the meantime, Deck13 have been provided regular DLC updates for The Surge, giving players more of the Soulslike action they’ve come to love from the developers.
With just a few months until launch, you’ve still got some time to play the original game before The Surge 2 hits the shelves. Considering that it was available as part of the PlayStation Plus line-up in April, along with it joining the Xbox Game Pass library last month, you’ve probably already got it ready to download.
