Death Stranding has received a lengthy and confusing launch trailer.

Like most other pre-release footage we’ve seen thus far, this new trailer poses more questions than answers, a motif that seems to run deep within the heart of Death Stranding. But for those enamored with the cryptic storytelling tendencies of creator Hideo Kojima, Death Stranding is shaping up to scratch all the right itches.

Beware potential story spoilers.

Taking place after civilization’s collapse, Death Stranding places players in the shoes of Sam Bridges (Norman Reedus) as he attempts to unravel the mysteries of humanity’s downfall and reconnect people to one another in a time when everyone is more divided than ever.

The game also stars Mads Mikkelsen, Guillermo del Toro, Léa Seydoux, Lindsay Wagner, and a collection of cameos from famous celebrities like Conan O’Brien and Geoff Keighley.

Death Stranding releases November 8 on PS4 and summer 2020 on PC.
