Behaviour Interactive have announced that Dead By Daylight, the popular asymmetrical horror game that pits four survivors against a determined killer, now supports cross-play and cross-friends across all platforms. Whether you play on PC, PS4, Xbox One or the Nintendo Switch, you can match with players around the world.

Cross-play and cross-friends was a highly requested feature from the community, which currently boasts more than 25 million total players and often sees a million players on any given day. Allowing all these players to play together should drastically reduce matchmaking times for the game, but the option to go without cross-play is there for the players that would rather stick with their platform.

Next month, Behaviour also plan on implementing cross-progression to the PC, Stadia and Switch versions of the game, allowing players to take their unlocks with them wherever they go. Unfortunately, the feature doesn’t appear to be launching on the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game, but the developers are working to ensure we’ll see it added to every platform eventually.
