Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled 3rd Biggest 2019 Launch In UK

The CTR remaster has done great numbers in the UK.

Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled

Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled has only been available since Friday, but it’s already setting setting very impressive sales records. The Chart Track, which comes via GamesIndustry, has revealed that Nitro-Fueled, the remake of the 90s PlayStation classic, is sitting pretty as the third-biggest launch in the UK this year, with Resident Evil 2 and Days Gone remaining above. This list is based on physical sales alone, and is the only new release on the list, ahead of the likes of FIFA 19 and Red Dead Redemption 2.

Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled comes after the success of Crash Bandicoot: N. Sane Trilogy in 2017. Between the two remakes, they account for the biggest launches in the Crash series history in the UK, respectively. Its closest rival, Team Sonic Racing, has seen its sales pale in comparison – Nitro-Fueled has sold four-times as many copies in the same period, 66% of which were on PS4 alone.

These remarkable sales figures do come as no surprise, as Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled has released to very positive reviews, currently holding a rating of 85% on Metacritic as of this writing, with many critics praising the quality of the remaster as well as it’s challenging learning curve.
