Enemy aircraft can be a real nuisance Company of Heroes 3, especially if you’re playing with plenty of infantry as they can make quick work of your troops. Even tanks aren’t safe from a devastating bombing run. Luckily, you can take care of these aircraft as long as you have the right tools.
The easiest and most efficient way of shooting down enemy aircraft is to find yourself some anti-air weapons, which can often be found “natively” around many of the game’s maps as anti-air emplacements. These can commonly be found as part of the narrative-focused single-player missions.
However, in multiplayer and other general play, the best way to consistently deal with aircraft is to place anti-aircraft units, typically vehicles. Different armies have different options. The Afrika Korps, for instance, can call upon a Flakvierling Half-Track to deal with airborne forces, which makes them a naturally good counter to US forces, who tend to favour loiters and paradrops. The Wehrmacht can also call in the wonderfully named Wirbelwind Flakpanzer to help deal with aircraft.
On the flipside of the coin, if you’re unable to bring in any of your airborne troops or use loitering, you need to find the anti-aircraft emplacement of your enemy’s and get rid of them, otherwise you’re just burning resources.
