It’s nice to be able to write some news from 205 Live for once. In fact this is probably the biggest piece of news to come out of any WWE programming this week. Former multi-time Tag Champion and Olympic wrestler, Chad Gable, had joined the 205 Live Roster. In what was the best received episode in recent history, 205 Live GM Drake Maverick announced the newest Cruiserweight at the top of the show.
Gable immediately threw himself into competition against Gentlemen Jack Gallagher in a technical masterclass. Donning a new look, Gable re-established himself as a top prospect in WWE, now primed to takeover the Cruiserweight division and position himself in-line for his first singles title.
I personally love this move, Gable is one of the best talents WWE have on their main roster and it was a shame to see him waste away without any creative direction. It was only a matter of time before another promotion snapped him up with a better offer. With 205 Live now gaining a cult following, Gable should thrive as part of the Cruiserweight division.
