It feels like it was only yesterday when we saw Seiya slapping around Ristarte for being useless, and at the same time planning for hours on how to kill a literal piece of slime in Cautious Hero (Cautious Hero: The Hero is Overpowered but Overly Cautious, to give it its full name). Seiya’s overly cautious shenanigans were hilarious to watch, but is the anime returning with Cautious Hero: Season 2, or have we seen everything there is?
Sorry to ruin the mood for you, but Cautious Hero: Season 2 hasn’t been announced yet. The anime’s studio is currently busy making Goblin Slayer: Season 2, so even if the series was renewed, don’t expect to see it return soon. While this isn’t good news, there’s no harm in diving deeper into the series’ possible return.
When Is Cautious Hero: Season 2 Coming Out?
At the moment, there’s no word on when Cautious Hero: Season 2 will release. Neither the studio nor Crunchyroll has confirmed if the sequel is in production.
The isekai genre is one of the most popular ones right now, so most of the time when it comes to anime like Cautious Hero: Season 2, they are always announced out of the blue. But there’s a worrying aspect to this as well because sometimes, isekai anime are made as promotional pieces for light novels or manga, so with luck that doesn’t become the case here.
What Is Cautious Hero: Season 2 About? (Spoiler Alert)
The first season adapted the contents in Volumes 1 & 2 of the light novel. Keeping that in mind, next up is the “Ixphoriax” arc of the story. Seiya and Ristarte managed to successfully save Gaeabrande from the wicked Demon Lord, but instead of being rewarded, the duo is teleported to Ixphoria.
For those who don’t know, Ixphoria is the world Seiya was tasked to save a century ago but wasn’t able to. The Demon Lord of Ixphoria defeated Seiya and killed his teammates, and as a result, the entire world grew from a simple B-ranked demon world to an SS-ranked one. Furthermore, the duo is stripped of their powers as well, so will they be able to right the wrongs of the past?
Which Studio Is Making Cautious Hero: Season 2?
It’s surprising when you first find out that the studio behind the Cautious Hero anime, that is, Studio White Fox, is the same one that animated many other notable isekais like Re:Zero, Arifureta, The Devil Is a Part-Timer!, and many more acclaimed series including Steins;Gate.
It’s still pretty early to deduce, but odds are that Studio White Fox will animate Cautious Hero: Season 2. Visually, there were no complaints with the anime since the stellar animation fit the quirky isekai’s tone perfectly, so hopefully, White Fox reprises the series again.
Where Will Cautious Hero: Season 2 Be Aired?
You’ll find Cautious Hero: Season 2 streaming on Crunchyroll when it’s released. Hulu has the first season already available, so we may see the continuation airing there too, but because Crunchyroll officially holds the anime’s license, that’s the way to go.
Unfortunately, Netflix, Amazon Prime, and other services don’t seem like they’ll ever have the series available, but until that’s confirmed, take this with a grain of salt. On the other hand, If you’re lucky enough to be situated in Japan, then just turn on your TV and head on over to Tokyo MX, KBS, or TVA to catch Cautious Hero: Season 2’s live broadcast once the schedule is announced.
