Questions of Candice LeRae’s NXT contractual status have been posed since her husband’s departure on this week’s episode of NXT. A heavily pregnant Candice appeared on this week’s show in support of Johnny Gargano as he made an emotional speech bidding farewell to the fans.
It has since been confirmed that Candice LeRae’s contract isn’t to expire until Spring 2022, however, this may be extended considering WWE have a habit of freezing contracts during inactivity.
Reports have indicated that LeRae is currently being paid maternity leave by WWE and remains a key figure in the occasional backstage segment involving members of The Way, therefore negating the need to freeze her contract. WWE have yet to offer an extension but this may change the closer we get to Spring.
