Bray Wyatt Debut Teased On AEW Dynamite

Windham might be up to some old spooky tricks.

During AEW’s third Dynamite Diamond Ring Battle Royal, the house lights mysteriously flickered between colours and dimmed to mark the start of the match. Even though the announcers chose not to acknowledge this strange, technical mishap, it certainly didn’t seem like something that was a fault of the lighting team. Us wrestling fans have seen enough of these nefarious lighting glitches to assume that it could be the doings of a spooky character, one that we’ve been waiting to see for a very long time.

WWE’s Bray Wyatt, or Windam Rotunda as he’s now referring to himself as on social media, has been a free agent since the summer and many have speculated that he could be bringing his services to either AEW or Impact Wrestling. Windham has been relatively quiet about his plans in the wrestling industry and has instead ventured into Hollywood horror productions, a very fitting venture considering his previous work.

Though the former Wyatt Family patriarch hasn’t made good on the few occasions that he’s been expected to make his debut, Brodie Lee’s memorial show in Rochester for example, this cou1ld be the best sign yet that he’s on his way to Dynamite and Rampage. This comes just after Tony Khan revealed that more surprises are in store for the AEW fans in a podcast interview.

This could indeed be the machinations of another supernatural superstar, Malakai Black perhaps, but I can imagine this is just the beginning of a viral marketing campaign to bring in one of wrestling’s hottest stars.
