Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Free For Warzone Players This Weekend, Kind Of

There's also a Double Everything event this weekend.

Modern Warfare

In a effort to drive more Call of Duty: Warzone players towards the main game, and to seemingly keep players indoors during the current pandemic, Modern Warfare will be free to play this weekend for Warzone players, but there’s a bit of a catch.

Warzone players looking to play Modern Warfare for free will be given access to a limited playlist, called “Stocked Up, Locked Down”, which features two maps and a variety of modes. Those maps are the 6v6 Shoot House and the 10v10 Atlas Superstore. Obviously, the playlist is also available to those with the full game, so if you want to wreck some players who don’t have access to the same unlocks as you, here’s your chance.

If that’s not enough to entice you into playing more Modern Warfare this weekend, there’s also a Double Everything running, which will allow players to earn double XP, double weapon XP and double Battle Pass progression, and if that’s not enough, anyone who owns the Battle Pass and logs into the game before April 5th at 11pm PT, or April 6th at 2am ET/7am BST will receive 10 free battle pass tier skips. If you’ve already completed the Season 2 Battle Pass, those tier skips will apply to Season 3’s Battle Pass if you purchase it.

Will you be playing Call of Duty this weekend, either via Warzone or Modern Warfare? Sound off in the comments.
