Bungie Files Trademark For New Project, Matter

Matter

If you’ve been wondering what Bungie are going to be getting up to that isn’t Destiny (shout out to all those who have been back on their bullshit since Forsaken came out), you just might be in luck. They’ve filed a trademark with the European Union Intellectual Property Office for Matter, which we assume is their latest venture.

This new trademark could potentially be related to a deal Bungie struck back in June with Chinese publisher NetEase, which will see the Destiny and former Halo developers receive around $100 million in funding to create their next project.

If that’s the case, the project is still miles away from being formally revealed to the world. The trademark itself fell under section 9, “computer game software” and section 41, “internet entertainment services”, with a draft of the project’s logo included. No details about what the project could be or how it’ll play.
