Bobby Lashley Returns To WWE On RAW

Bobby Lashley

Bobby Lashley returned to WWE on the first Monday Night RAW after WrestleMania.

Interrupting Elias in the middle of the ring, the former TNA/Impact World Champion, ECW Champion and United States Champion confirmed his comeback to the company that made his name by destroying the abrasive guitar-slinging minstrel.

Lashley’s first run in WWE saw him receive a heavy push that took him to the ECW Championship before acting as Trump’s representative at the Battle Of The Billionaires at WrestleMania 23.

His time at Impact saw him capture a slew of titles and improve his workrate and technique exponentially. His return may see many fans begging for Lashley to be inserted immediately into the Universal Championship frame.

Lashley left Impact in January after his contract ended and for many his return to WWE was a matter of when and not if.

It is yet another blow for WWE’s rivals, who have seen number of their talented workers jump ship for New York. Lashley follows EC3, the Hardys, Samoa Joe, Bobby Roode, AJ Styles and others in making the jump over the last three years.

Impact also confirmed the release of main event talent Alberto El Patron this past week.
