Bloober Team have announced that their upcoming horror game The Medium, originally scheduled to launch on December 10th for Xbox Series X|S and PC, has now been delayed until January 28th, 2021. The news was announced via the game’s official Twitter account.

So Why Has The Medium Been Delayed?
Two main reasons, really. The first one is obvious: COVID-19. As the situation in Poland still isn’t under control, Bloober Team are pushing back the game’s release date to allow for more time to polish the game’s experience, providing their “biggest, most ambitious, fear inducing experience to date”.
The other reason is, according to Bloober Team, due to “the current schedule of other games on the market”. The only other big game launching on December 10th is, of course, Cyberpunk 2077. It doesn’t seem like a stretch to say that CD Projekt Red pushing back the release of Cyberpunk 2077 has had a knock-on effect, which has now affected The Medium. Regardless, January is relatively quiet as far as game releases go, so the delay should give The Medium its chance to truly shine.
