Blasphemous 2: How to Defeat Odon of the Confraternity of Salt

Of course, it’s a tried and true principle in gaming that if your character is a stoic badass warrior, at some point, you’re probably going to have to fight yourself, only bigger. The answer to this common trope in Blasphemous 2 comes in the form of Odon of the Confraternity of Salt.

Sporting the same style of pointed helmet and even similar armor to The Penitent One, Odon may seem like a pretty scary enemy at first, but if he’s giving you trouble, don’t worry. There’s a pretty tried and true strategy to taking this guy out. Just make sure that you have the red ring projectile prayer equipped, and Odon will be more like, “Oh, done.”

In terms of his moveset, Odon tends to stop and summon enemies from beyond the grave to distract and attack you. Luckily, the red ring projectile attack passes through enemies twice if used correctly, meaning you can sometimes hit Odon’s minions and the man himself with a single use. This really helps to make the fight more manageable so that you’re not wasting too much time focusing on the minions, as it will cut through their defenses even if Odon gives them protective shields.

Next, you’ll want to watch out for this Blasphemous 2 baddie’s wave attacks. As a general rule, you’re going to want to jump over these. When it comes to Odon himself, though, you can dodge right through him despite him appearing to be the kind of enemy that might forbid this going off of the game’s general ruleset for bosses.

We stuck with the ball and chain weapon, Veredicto, here, basically just building up our magic by striking away as the opportunity provided and then spamming the red ring attack, especially when Odon is just standing there with his banner up. Stick with these points, and you’ll have this big lug out of your way in no time.
