Black Clover Filler Episodes You Can Skip

Black Clover
Black Clover

When it comes to fantasy anime, Fairy Tail, Sword Art Online, and Black Clover are some of the top contenders and probably what you think about first. Black Clover, created by Yuki Tabata, is about the journey of Asta, a boy born in a world filled with magic. The only problem is that Asta himself is actually born magic-less. He must learn to fight with only the physical skills he has and the anti-magic swords at his disposal.

As fans wait for Black Clover’s fifth season, some might want a quick rewatch of the series to refresh any minor details. Or maybe you’re new to the series, but you simply want to watch the show without all the fluff. Skipping the filler is the most obvious solution, so here are all the Black Clover filler episodes that you can skip.

Black Clover Filler List

Compared to other relatively long anime, Black Clover has an incredibly small amount of filler. Some anime have literal filler arcs while Black Clover only has 17 episodes worth of filler. That’s only 10% of the entire show. So, without further ado, here’s the full list with the episode names and numbers.

  • Those Who Worship Devils (Episode 146)
  • Death (Episode 147)
  • Become the Light That Illuminates the Darkness (Episode 148)

Some other episodes have some filler mixed in with the canon, but those should still be watched, so they aren’t included here.

Why Should You Skip These Black Clover Filler?

Well, it’s probably the same reason you skip any other anime series’ filler: to save time. Black Clover has 170 episodes in total, and some people simply don’t have the time or have a bunch of other anime on their backlogs. Getting rid of the episodes that don’t progress the plot or provide any vital information is a good way to trim down long shows.

That said, there isn’t that much filler in Black Clover, and they aren’t badly made either. If you really liked the show, you can go back and watch them. You’ll get some extra world-building and fun adventures.

In fact, one of the main reasons the anime took a break is that they reached the manga’s current plot and didn’t want to saturate the show with filler. That’s a good sign that the producers aren’t just trying to go for a cash grab and that they truly care about the show’s pacing.

If you enjoyed your watch of Black Clover and can’t wait for the fifth season, you can try out this list of similar anime to tide you over.
