Indie developers E-Line Media have revealed that Beyond Blue, the follow-up to their charming arctic adventure Never Alone (Kisima Ingitchuna), will be launching simultaneously on PC, PS4 and Xbox One on June 11th as part of World Oceans Week. This news comes with a trailer that showcases one of the features coming to the game, Ocean Insights.

Similar to Never Alone, which included documentary footage that provided more insight into the history of the Alaskan Native Iñupiat people, Beyond Blue will feature Ocean Insights. These sixteen mini-documentaries include footage from BBC’s Blue Planet 2, and will give more information regarding the creatures and wildlife that can found under the sea. It’s certainly going to be a damn sight more scientifically informative than Maneater, that’s for sure.

Beyond Blue focuses on a group of scientific explorers who are planning on testing their Ocean Sense Network, which has the ability to map out the unexplored depths of the oceans. Featuring full voice work from talents like Anna Akana, Mira Furlan, Hakeem Kae-Kazim, and Ally Maki, Beyond Blue promises to be a fascinating look at what lies beneath to ocean.
