It may have only been out for a short amount of time, but Bethesda are already making a free trial available for Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus from today.
Available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC, the trial will allow players to play through the first level of the game. As is the norm, should the full version be bought, all progress and saved data will be carried over. There was no mention of exactly when today the free trial will appear on storefronts, so just keep an eye out for it.
Wolfenstein 2 was released to critical acclaim and a positive response from fans, though it being sandwiched between Super Mario Odyssey and AC Origins might have hurt it commercially. If you want to pick it up after your trail, it’s currently down to a very fair price during the Black Friday promotion on the PlayStation Store.
In a positive review, Nick said the following of Wolfenstein 2:
“Despite some occasional issues with abrupt tonal shifts and some frustrating elements of combat and difficulty, Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus continues New Order’s deft combination of smooth, exhilarating gunfights and a story and setting with surprising depth and character that effectively tackles some dark and heavy themes while ultimately remaining fun and hopeful.”
