Announced back at E3 2016, it’s been just under a year since we had our first look at the new Prey, and now it’s out in the wild.

Developed by Arkane and published by Bethesda, it represents a fresh start for the series, which had a second game in the works for years before quietly getting shelved.

New Prey doesn’t have a lot to do with the original game or even the trailer released for Prey 2, but it certainly has lots of gamers interested. A mixture of System Shock and Resident Evil, Prey will focus on the twisted goings on inside a space station and the strange monsters that begin to inhabit it.

Oh yeah, you can also become a coffee mug.

Just before launch, a demo was released for Prey that has drawn mixed reactions. While the atmosphere and story was praised, combat was heavily criticised for being too stiff and awkward. Our own Kieran McLoone wasn’t too keen on what he played.

Here’s hoping the full game turns out better. You getting Prey? What do you think about the spat with Prey For The Gods? Let us know below.

Prey is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
