Xbox’s Games With Gold program has garnered a bit of an infamous reputation for being a bit crap, and April 2022’s line-up isn’t doing much to change that image. However, the variety of games on offer means there might be at least something that appeals to you. Here’s what is going to be available via Xbox’s Games With Gold this April:
– Another Sight: Available from April 1st to 30th
– Hue: Available April 16th to May 15th
– Outpost Kaloki X : Available April 1st to 15th
– MX vs ATV Alive: Available April 16th to 30th
First up, Another Sight is an historical adventure that launched on the Xbox One in 2019. Players control the teenager Kit and the red-furred cat Hodge as they explore a steampunk fantasy version of late Victorian-era London. Along the way, a relationship develops between the two as they lean on each other to solve puzzles.
If the idea of bringing colour to a world of grey sounds great, Hue is the game for you. A puzzle platformer, you have the power to make obstacles disappear by changing the colour of the world, which sounds simple in theory but quickly becomes more complicated as more colours are added.
Throwing back to the original launch of the Xbox 360, Outpost Kaloki X is one of the first indie games to have launched on the Xbox Live Arcade. It released in 2005, and sees players managing a space outpost, adding new facilities to draw in cash and keep the alien visitors happy.
Finally, MX Vs ATV Alive is another instalment in the long-running offroad racing game series. Players have full control over their rider and their bike, whether it’s got two wheels or four, and will travel across the world to race in multiple environments.
