Apex Legends: Ash Guide – Passive, Tactical & Ultimate Abilities

Dust to dust.

Apex Legends

The wait is finally over, Legends. After over a year of teasing her arrival and an unorthodox stint as the mastermind behind a game of her very own, the notorious Titanfall 2 villain known as Ash is here in Apex Legends.

The recent “Meet Ash” trailer confirmed what leaks have hinted at for months: some seriously powerful abilities that will undoubtedly make Ash a force to be reckoned with in the ring.

Here’s everything you should know about Ash’s abilities in Apex Legends: Season 11.

Passive: Marked for Death

As shown in the trailer, Ash’s data knife will mark the location of deathboxes–and any remaining survivors–on her minimap. Respawn has indicated that this ability was originally intended for Revenant (hence his voice lines about marking other Legends for death), but it was scrapped after devs decided it was too powerful. But it seems the once-dead ability will see new life in Season 11’s debut Legend.

Tactical: Arc Snare

In a throwback to Titanfall 2’s tether traps, Ash’s tactical ability allows her to throw down a spinning, electrified tether trap that damages the first enemy to cross its path, while also tethering them to the ground, limiting their movement. It stands to reason that shooting the traps will destroy them and free ensnared players from their grip, but by then it may already be too late.

Ultimate: Phase Breach

An ability that seems to be a combination of both Wraith and Loba’s abilities, Ash can throw her sword across the battlefield, tearing open a one-way portal that instantaneously transports her through the void to her sword’s location. It appears that, as with Wraith’s portals, Ash’s portals can be used by teammates and enemies alike. But beware: Ash’s portals only go one way, so there’s no escape for players who teleport into crossfire.

While players will have to wait until November 2nd to see Ash’s abilities up close and personal, it’s probably safe to say Wraith mains are sweating a little bit more than usual at the moment.

Apex Legends is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, Switch.
