Amnesia: The Bunker can be quite the challenging game, especially when you’re struggling to find fuel to keep the generator running and the monster keeps crawling his way towards you. Death comes quickly, and with only manual saves to turn to, it can become quite frustrating to lose loads of progress, though it really does add to the tension of proceedings.
Here’s everywhere where you can save your game in Amnesia: The Bunker.
On normal difficulty and above, players can save their game by interacting with the lamp in Administration, the central location where the generator is that needs to be refuelled to power the whole bunker. This is the only place to save in the “main” section, but players can also interact with a lamp down in the Tunnels section, which they will need to access as part of the story.
On easy difficulty, players can find save lamps in the Warden’s Office in the Prison section, and also at the ladder up to the Pillbox. These do not appear on higher difficulties.
Once players die, they will be returned to the last save lamp that they interacted with. There’s no autosave, but you can load your three most recent saves on one of three files from the main menu in case you get stuck.
