Released today for PC, Xbox One, and PS4, Agents of Mayhem is an open-world shooter that pits you as a squad of good guys against a bunch of bad guys called LEGION. It’s a simple game and one that shares plenty of DNA with its older brother, the Saints Row series.
Developed by the same warped minds, Volition, Agents of Mayhem is a more toned down, tighter experience than the loose and a little bit ludicrous experiences that made up the later games in the Saints Row franchise. I have been playing the game for about two hours and can confirm there is a severe lack of giant purple dildos so far.
If you’re a completionist, Agents of Mayhem looks like it’s going to offer potentially dozens of hours of content – it’s open-world, after all, meaning there’s a bunch of collectibles and figures to reach before you can claim its plat.
