PUBG’s Miramar Map Coming To The Xbox One In May

PUBG

If, like myself, you enjoy the still kind of broken Xbox One version of PUBG, you’ll enjoy this news. At PAX East 2018, during a panel on PUBG, director Brendan Greene shared the news that the desert map Miramar would be coming to the Xbox One version of the game next month. He was also joined by Major Nelson and deadmau5, which is possibly one of the weirdest combinations of human beings you could have assembled.

Though Miramar launched on PC back in December, the Xbox One version only features the original map Erangel, so Xbox One players should be excited for a little bit of variety with their PUBG matchmaking. Since the Xbox One version launched, also in December, the team at PUBG Corp have steadily been optimising the game with new updates bug fixes, with one recent update changing up how vehicles inflict damage.

PUBG on Xbox One already reached 4 million players by the end of January, though it’s currently facing stiff competition from Fortnite. Perhaps the introduction of a new map could turn the tide back into the favour of Battlegrounds. If you’re not convinced by how entertaining PUBG can be, skip to 15:53 on the panel video and bear witness to some of the hypest gameplay ever shown on Twitch. Ninja, eat your heart out.
