We’ve already got an early entry for one 2019’s most anticipated games: Question have announced The Blackout Club, a co-op paranormal horror mystery game where you must investigate the strange(r) things happening in a small suburban town.
With up to four players, you have to venture out into the town at night to investigate the disappearance of one of your friends, which for some reason none of the adults believe. Something sinister is afoot, and it’s up to you and your buddies to find out, before it’s too late.
To do so, you engage on surveillance missions to capture the ongoing conspiracy on camera, in an attempt to reveal what’s happening to the world. Characters will be able to fully customise their loadouts in between missions, affording them access to gadgets like drones and traps with which to outwit their foes.
The announcement trailer, which you can look at below with your eyes if you so wish, showcases the creepy vibe that the team at Question are going for, as it raises more questions than answers. What are the adults doing underneath the town? What’s behind the mysterious red door? When is this game coming out? I want it now.
At least we can answer that last one. Question are aiming to release The Blackout Club sometime in Q1 2019 for PS4, Xbox One and PC. Are you excited for it? Sound off in the comments below.
If you need something to tide you over between now and next year, check out March’s line-up for PlayStation Plus. Sure, they won’t last you a year, but it’s a start.
