Aww, so cute. The Good Smile Company are releasing a new Link figure to tie-in with the release of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and it’s so cute that after one look you can practically feel your heart melting. It’s part of their Nendoroid line, in which they depict characters with large heads and small bodies to give an impression of extreme cuteness, and boy does it work.
Revealed on the company’s blog, the figure depicts Link in the blue overall that he’ll be wearing in the upcoming game, with accessories including a bow and arrow, a sword (it’s not the Master Sword, if you were wondering), and that weird iPad thing that we’ve seen him using in some of the gameplay videos.
My only concern is that they appear to have got Link’s hair colour wrong, he’s a blondie, and yet they’ve taken it upon themselves to give him brown hair. At least they’ve made sure to give him two separate face plates so he can appear to be both docile and angry.
In addition to the standard edition which comes with the accessories listed above, there will also be a DX edition which includes both a removable hood and a separate figure of Link’s noble steed, Epona, in addition to a bunch of other cool accessories including an ax, a wooden club, and a chicken leg (even heroes have to eat).
