Like A Dragon: Ishin – How To Sprint For Longer

Like A Dragon: Ishin is a game where you’re constantly on the move around 1860s Kyo, discovering new places and meeting new people. As a game without cars or any of the usual modes of transport you’d expect from a sandbox, you’re going to be sprinting around a lot, but Sakamoto Ryoma unfortunately gets very gassed, very quickly. Luckily, there’s a way to improve sprinting in Ishin.

To sprint for longer in Like A Dragon: Ishin, players must first get to Chapter 2, which takes roughly an hour. Once there, you then need to save a priest around town, who will show you a Shrine and also unlock Virtue as a mechanic.

Virtue is earned in all manners of ways in Ishin, whether that’s by making purchases from many of the vendors around town or doing good deeds, like helping civilians out and deepening bonds. The best way to farm Virtue in Ishin, however, is to complete Diligence Records, which are basically side quests that also unlock for the first time after you help the priest out. These can be found in your pause menu and offer a range of side distractions to slowly work your way through that give you hundreds of Virtue points.

When you’ve amassed a good bit of Virtue, travel to any of the shrines around town and interact with them and you will be given a list of upgrades to unlock. Select Enhanced Sprinting Level 1 for 500 Virtue to sprint for longer in Ishin and reduce your fatigue.

You aren’t yet a marathon runner and will still get gassed fairly easily, but luckily you can spend 2500 Virtue to unlock Enhanced Sprinting Level 2 and sprint for even longer.

Like A Dragon: Ishin is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X & S.
