It’s shocking that it’s taken nearly a decade for this to happen, but Rockstar announced today that they’re adding a subscription service to GTA Online, called GTA+, which will give players heaps of goodies on a monthly basis. Here’s everything you need to know about how it works, and what you could gain from it.

What Is GTA+?

GTA+ is a monthly subscription service that allows both new and veteran players to have access to a host of GTA Online content, like properties, vehicles, auto shop upgrades and other virtual goodies for a nominal fee each month.

The announcement post has a full list of what you can get with GTA+ for the first month (March 29th-April 27th), but the wording makes it sound like there’ll be different rewards each month.

Here’s what month one of GTA+ offers:

– GTA$500,000 delivered automatically to your Maze Bank Account.
– The Principe Deveste Eight — along with a complimentary Hao’s Special Works upgrade for it before it is made available to purchase by the general public — plus the HSW Orange Trip and HSW CMYK Glitch Liveries.
– The Auto Shop located in La Mesa, introduces an assortment of gameplay updates from Los Santos Tuners. Current Auto Shop owners can relocate to La Mesa at no additional cost.
– Waived LS Car Meet Membership fees. Current LS Car Meet members with GTA+ will be reimbursed GTA$50,000 during this event period.
– Yacht owners can upgrade to the Aquarius Super Yacht at no additional cost.
– The Gussét Frog Tee and Broker Prolaps Basketball Top and Shorts automatically added to your wardrobe.
– The Conveyor Livery for the Mammoth Avenger, HVY APC, and TM-02 Khanjali.
– A selection of free paints and emblems for the Auto Shop.
– 3X GTA$ and RP on Hao’s Special Works Race Series.
– 2X Car Meet Rep on the Street Race Series.
– New items each month from “Legendary Motorsport, Hao’s Special Works, Maze Bank Foreclosures, DockTease, and other stores”, on top of regular GTA Online events that’ll continue for all players.
– Special GTA+ Shark Cards for if you need that extra cash infusion

GTA+ Price

GTA+ will cost $5.99 a month in the US, though it’s not been announced yet what the price will be in other regions. We have reached out to Rockstar for comment.

$5.99 in pounds translates to £4.54 at the time of writing though, so it’s presumed that you’d be paying around £4.99 if you live in the UK.

GTA+ Platforms

GTA+ will only be available on the PS5 and Xbox Series X | S versions of GTA Online, meaning if you’re playing on the PS4, Xbox One and PC, you won’t be able to subscribe. While older platforms not getting the subscription makes some sense as Rockstar look to the future, the decision to not bring it to PC is a strange one.

GTA+ Release Date

GTA+ will be available for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S users from March 29th, 2022 meaning it’ll be available in just a few days at the time of writing. While it might not be enough to convince lapsed players to jump back into GTA Online, it’ll no doubt be exciting news for those who spend a lot of time in Los Santos.
