Guilty Gear Strive Has Been Delayed Until June

It's going to be all the sweeter when it launches.

Arc System Works and Bandai Namco have announced that Guilty Gear Strive, which was scheduled to launch on PC, PS4 and PS5 on April 9th, has been delayed once again until June 11th. This isn’t the first time the game has been delayed, as it was originally set to launch last year before being pushed back to April.

Why Is Guilty Gear Being Delayed?

The announcement was posted on Twitter in the early hours, with Arc System Works pointing to the game’s online lobbies and general server stability needing some work.

“Since we have received valuable feedback after the recent open beta test, we would like to make the most of this opportunity to provide the best game possible. We need extra time to polish some aspects of the game, such as the online lobbies and the server’s stability,” Arc System Works says.

They added: “We believe it best to use the extra time to improve the game’s quality and provide a better experience to all our players. Thank you for your patience and understanding.”

Given the incredible level of success and widespread praise the recent Guilty Gear Strive beta received, this delay is quite surprising, but if there’s a chance for the game to spend an extra two months improving an already fantastic game (that I suck at), it’s time well spent.
