A recent tweet from PlayStation Brazil, which dropped a little too early, revealed that more DLC is coming to Mortal Kombat 11, specifically Story Mode DLC. Seriously, we can live in a world where MK11 gets more Story DLC, but not GTA V? Anyway, NetherRealm Studios themselves have confirmed the news themselves, publishing the English version of the trailer on Twitter, which you can see below. Spoilers for MK11, obviously.

The trailer above appears to follow on from the game’s “good ending”, where Fire God Liu Kang and Raiden attempt to shape a new peaceful world after Kronika’s attempts to implement her “New Era”. The good ending differs from the best ending in a couple of ways, as in the best ending, Liu Kang is joined by Kitana, while Raiden becomes mortal. Here, there’s no mention of Kitana.
Of course, the process of reshaping the universe has been interrupted by Shang Tsung. who is being accompanied by two other characters. Interesting, he believes that Liu Kang and Raiden would “doom us all”, which as far as I’m concerned is enough information for me to definitively state that DOOM Guy will be a DLC character. 100%. Confirmed.
Joking aside, it’s possible that this DLC release could be something known as the Aftermath Kollection, which was a listing found on Steam about a month ago and would include all base game DLC, new characters and additional content. We’ll find out more soon enough, as a full reveal is scheduled for tomorrow. Are you excited for more Mortal Kombat 11? Let us know in the comments.
