Gearbox Teasing A 20th Anniversary Homeworld Announcement

All eyes on PAX West.

Homeworld

Gearbox are teasing a special announcement regarding the RTS series Homeworld, as they have recently published a small teaser video inviting people to watch Gearbox’s Main Theater Show at PAX West on Friday, August 30th. Check out the teaser below.

The announcement coincide with the 20th anniversary for the series, though it’s still unclear if this will be a new game in the series, a fully remastered collection of all four currently released games, two of which were already remastered, a complete reboot or something else entirely. Send us your answers on a postcard please.

The last game in the series was 2016’s Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak, which was a prequel to the other games in the series and was the first full game to be developed by Blackbird Interactive instead of series creators Relic Entertainment. Blackbird are also attached to this new announcement so maybe it’s a sequel to the prequel. You know Gearbox do love their Pre-Sequels.
