In a strange move for Nintendo (we’ll explain why in a minute), they have announced that a sequel for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is now in development, continuing Link’s adventure from one of 2017’s greatest hits. Check out the announcement trailer below.
No details have been confirmed regarding a name or a release date yet, though the strangeness doesn’t come from Nintendo announcing a video game way too soon. Instead, it’s weird that Nintendo have announced a direct sequel to a Legend of Zelda game. Ordinarily, each game in the series is its own standalone adventure, so it’s oddly refreshing to see Nintendo develop an already established world even further.
