SEGA and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio have confirmed that Yakuza: Like A Dragon will be available on PS5 as well as PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and PC. The game will launch in November on current gen platforms, and will be a Day 1 release for the Xbox Series X, while the PS5 version will arrive later. Naturally, buying the game for PS4 or Xbox One will unlock the equivalent next-gen version for free. Check out the trailer below.
If you’ve watched the trailer, you’ll notice that the game is receiving a full English dub, and the talent lending their voices to the project is nothing to sneeze at. Prolific video game and anime voice actor Kaiji Tang will be voicing the main character, Ichiban Kasuga, while Star Trek’s own George Takei will provide the voice for the primary antagonist, Masumi Arakawa.
Pre-orders are live now for the game, and the day one edition will include eight brand new costumes based on various characters throughout the series, including Kazuma Kiryu, Goro Majima, Ryuji Goda and more. There’s also the Hero Edition, which includes two extra job roles for the game’s turn-based combat, and extra employees for the game’s Management Mode, while the Legendary Hero Edition includes all of the above plus “bonus crafting, karaoke, ultimate costume and stat boost items”.
