If you’re looking for something new to play this weekend, and you’re not one of the millions of gamers waiting for either Assassin’s Creed: Origins or Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, perhaps you should consider XCOM 2. The game is now available to play for free this weekend on Xbox One as part of their Free Play Days promotion.
The promotion allows Xbox Live Gold members to play some of the biggest games available on the Xbox One for one whole weekend, for free. Last week, Cities: Skylines took the honour, but games like Halo 5: Guardians, Overwatch, For Honor and more have been a part of the promotion.
During the promotion, you’ll get unlimited access to the game in question and your progress will carry over once you upgrade to the full game. Typically, either during the promotion or the week afterwards, the game will be available on the digital store for a reduced price, so expect to see XCOM 2 as part of next week’s Deals With Gold in some capacity.
