WWE Thunderdome’s New Location Revealed

Crowd return incoming?

As per an exclusive report from Ryan Clark, WWE have come to a decision of where they want to broadcast from after their residency at the Amway Center comes to an end. WWE are looking to bring the Thunderdome to Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida, a stadium primarily used for baseball and other such outdoor sports.

This massive change to programming could come as early as next week, potentially even bringing Survivor Series to Tropicana Field as a way of breaking it in as WWE’s new home. With this arena being open-air, this could also mean the return of smaller crowds, much like how AEW are allowing for socially-distanced crowds to be included in the action at Jacksonville.

A huge step in the right direction, if all goes to plan. I’m a huge fan of watching wrestling in outdoor arenas, it always adds the spectacle element to sports-entertainment, so I’m be more than happy to see RAW, SmackDown Live and subsequent pay-per-views to hail from sunny Florida.
