It’s cutting time once again in WWE and this time it’s the NXT 2.0 roster that’s getting the snip. Unfortunately, ten haunts of the WWE Performance Centre will no longer be appearing for NXT’s new technicolour brand, potentially due to a lack of creative booking or because of the usual ‘budget cuts’.

The following ten wrestlers were served their pink slips as of yesterday evening:

– Paige Prinzivalli
– Sanjana George
– Draco Anthony
– Harland
– Persia Pirotta
– Raelyn Divine
– Mila Malani
– Dexter Lumis
– Dakota Kai
– Malcolm Bivens

Three of the most surprising and prominent wrestlers to be released yesterday were Dakota Kai, Harland and Dexter Lumis, three wrestlers that would often be featured in high-profile matches or be pitched as major talent. Harland possibly being the most shocking out of all, a wrestler that was apparently touted as ‘the next Brock Lesnar’ by the likes of Triple H and Paul Heyman, alas, the silent-monster gimmick just didn’t get him where he needed to be.

With so many options now available on the independent scene, it would shock me if the likes of Bivens, Kai, Lumis and even Harland weren’t snapped up somewhere within the next year, once their no-compete clauses are up. Lumis made a name for himself as part of the Impact roster before joining the ranks of WWE and Kai has been a fairly notable star in women’s wrestling across the globe. Chances are they’ll be just fine.
