WWE 2K23 is no stranger to DLC, as the series has long used post-launch content as a means to add wrestlers into the game who joined the company a bit too late to be featured on the main roster. This year has already confirmed the likes of Bray Wyatt and others will be available as DLC in the future, but how do you go about claiming your DLC, or even your pre-order bonuses and characters? Here’s everything you need to know about redeeming DLC in WWE 2K23.
First off, if you bought your game digitally, all the content should automatically be tied to your account. However, if you purchased WWE 2K23 physically in any of its more expensive editions or pre-ordered the game for the Bad Bunny pack, it’s a bit less straightforward. You will have to check your game box for a slip with a code in, or check for either an email from the retailer you purchased it from or a message in your account. Redeeming codes on PlayStation and Xbox are slightly different to each other. If you don’t have any messages or codes, be sure to check spam or get in touch with your retailer.
With that in mind, how do you go about actually getting your content in-game? Well, for characters and other DLC items that’ll be used in a majority of modes, there’s no redemption necessary. Once you’ve purchased your DLC or redeemed your pre-order DLC code through your platform’s designated storefront, it’s just a case of selecting them next time you boot the game up. However, if you’ve bought the Icon Edition and you’re looking for your MyFaction goodies, you’ll need to do a bit more digging.
Redeeming your MyFaction content requires loading up that specific mode from the main menu, then heading over to the Store tab. In order to access the Store tab, you’ll need to have created your faction and completed the short tutorial explaining the mode as a whole. Once you’re on the Store tab, select “Unopened Packs” and your Icon Edition content, including the Emerald tier Paul Heyman manager card, should be right there waiting for you.
