WWE 2K20 Roster: Wrestlers Who Won’t Make The Cut

Who's getting canned from the largest roster ever?

WWE 2K19

We’ve made our predictions for this year’s 2K roster, if our guesses happen to be true then we could be in store for one of the most star-studded games in WWE 2K history. But unfortunately, with every new addition to their incredible line-up, some also have to be canned, whether that be due to their contracts with WWE coming to an end or copyright issues.

2K19 saw some pretty hefty cuts to its roster: Neville, Enzo Amore and Tomasso Ciampa all failed to make the cut after making their appearances in previous games. This year alone has seen WWE through some big losses, many of their superstars have jumped ship to promotions like NJPW, AEW and other smaller indies, meaning they will be the first to the chopping block.

In this list, we’re going to run down our suspected M.I.As for WWE 2K20. Make sure to leave some comments if you think we’ve missed anyone.

Aiden English (Moved to 205 Live Commentary)

AJ Styles Gold (Unlockable character from AJ Styles’ 2K19 Tower)

Bryan Danielson (Unlockable character from 2K19 Showcase Mode)

Chris Jericho (Contracted to AEW/NJPW)

Cole Quinn (Unlockable character from 2K19 Career Mode)

Dean Ambrose (Contracted to AEW/NJPW)

El Mago (Unlockable character from 2K19 Career Mode)

Epico Colon (Gone, but not forgotten)

Goldust (Contracted to AEW)

Hideo Itami (Contracted to NJPW)

Jason Jordan (Semi-retired)

Lio Rush (Unconfirmed release)

Nick Miller (Contracted to NJPW)

Primo Colon (Gone, but not forgotten)

Rhyno (Contracted to Impact Wrestling)

Shane Thorne (Awaiting re-debut)

Shelton Benjamin (Awaiting re-debut)

TJP (Contracted to Impact Wrestling)

Tye Dillinger (Contracted to AEW)

That’s quite a big list of canned superstars. Some might still make the cut if 2K are scrambling to make up numbers. Perhaps the likes of The Colons, Shane Thorne and Shelton Benjamin might still be included, despite not being featured on WWE programming for months. Also, should there be a sequel to the critically-acclaimed Career Mode, we might see the return of Cole Quinn and El Mago, not that anyone wants that.

Either way, there are some big losses to this year’s roster and there’s not much we can do to change that. Who are you going to miss most and why is it not Barron Blade?
