Over the past few weeks, 2K Studios have dropped a few entrances here and there to keep the hype for the upcoming WWE game alive. As it stands, fans aren’t entirely impressed with the footage of Kevin Owens, Steve Austin, Aleister Black and Samoa Joe as the graphics and motions aren’t really coming across like they’ve improved. However, there’s still a month left until the game’s worldwide release, so 2K could still drop a couple of big reveals.

There’s a handful of potential new roster inclusions that have yet to be revealed and seeing their entrances would go a long way in winning over the critical fan-base. In this list, we’re going to take a look at 5 superstars’ entrances that we’d love to see revealed next.

1. WALTER

The WWE United Kingdom Champion and leader of Imperium has been around NXT UK long enough now to make the cut for 2K20. Maybe the big Austrian will be saved for the DLC packs, but a glimpse of the rising star would be an exciting reveal to say the least.

WALTER has made an impact across the entire WWE landscape since his incredible match with Tyler Bate at TakeOver: Cardiff. His appearance in the premiere episode of NXT received one of the best responses of the night, fans are ready to see him make his debut in the virtual world of WWE 2K.

NXT UK will surely have more of a presence in this year’s game, with Pete Dunne and WALTER being the two most demanded names to be announced for the roster. If 2K were to drop his entrance, featuring the aura that comes when WALTER steps onto the stage, then we’d be pumped.

2. Matt Riddle

‘The Original Bro’ Matt Riddle has been an NXT headliner for the best part of a year now, so should definitely find himself scanned and included in WWE 2K20. Riddle has become a popular superstar amongst the NXT fans, and will surely start winning over the WWE Universe when he eventually makes his step-up onto the main roster to compete with the likes of Brock Lesnar, who he will definitely retire one day.

Riddle’s inclusion in WWE 2K20 would go a long way to establishing him as a big player. Giving him an MMA-based move-set similar to Ronda Rousey could also make him one of the most exciting characters to pick up and play, with an entrance to match his eclectic personality.

A showcase of Matt Riddle in 2K20 could add some flavour to the staleness of the reveals we’ve had so far. Aside from Buddy Murphy, we’ve yet to see any surprises. Riddle would be an ideal name to see crop up on our timelines in the foreseeable future.

3. Kofi Kingston

Compared to this time last year, Kofi Kingston has evolved into a totally different superstar. His victory to become the WWE Champion at WrestleMania and subsequent title reign that has now outlasted the likes of Roman Reigns and Batista has put him at the top of the food chain in WWE.

His renewed popularity will surely be captured as part of WWE 2K20, and I can’t wait to see how his entrance reflects it. Hopefully this will also improve The New Day’s stance in the ratings this year and maybe we’ll see a slight improvement to their group entrances and motions in 2K20.

Improvements to Kofi’s character would definitely make for a welcome sight after remaining the same for so many games on the trot.

4. Becky Lynch

If you look in any of 2K’s comments section, you’ll see a mob of fans who are demanding the cover star’s entrance video. It’s kind of odd that 2K have gone this long without revealing any footage featuring ‘The Man’, outside of the few seconds’ worth of Showcase Mode gameplay. Her entrance would go down a treat amongst WWE 2K fans and it would finally silence the critics.

There’s a lot riding on Becky Lynch’s character model and entrance this year, with her being the face of the franchise. Seeing that 2K have done her justice would go a long way in improving 2K20’s standings with the crowds.

Hopefully they manage to capture the sheer popularity that Becky Lynch is experiencing right now. Her entrance might not be the most elaborate in WWE, but it’s certainly one that gets the crowd going in modern WWE.

5. Hulk Hogan

‘Hulkamania’ is ready to run wild in his return to WWE 2K Games. Whether you like him or not, Hulk Hogan is a huge name for the 2K20 roster and should make for an exciting character to match up with the biggest stars of WWE today.

Hogan’s comeback is being included as part of 2K’s celebration of SmackDown’s 20 Year Anniversary, so those who have pre-ordered will find a red and yellow Hulkster lurking in their bonus codes. His entrances have always been some of the most iconic and entertaining from WWE history, which will most likely be no different as part of 2K20.

Hogan might not be the most popular guy in the wrestling world, but nevertheless, I’d love to see how 2K have captured the Hulkster’s entrance.
