Some things are happening in wrestling. What things? All these things! Buckle up immediately, if not sooner.

– According to Dave Meltzer, on his Wrestling Observer Radio show, at one point in time, Brock Lesnar was scheduled to face Shane McMahon at Wrestlemania 33. The set-up for that match was when Lesnar F-5’d Shane back at Summerslam 2016.

This was, however, before Goldberg had signed to stay on with WWE until Wrestlemania, when plans changed. Meltzer added that Lesnar did not want to do the match with Shane, and so got himself out of it.

– Speaking of Wrestlemania, on Monday afternoon, WWE made the match between Roman Reigns and The Undertaker official for Mania 33.

– The recipient of this year’s WWE Warrior Award was announced as Eric LeGrand, a football player from Rutgers University, who was paralysed during a game in 2010. Since then, LeGrand has been a motivational speaker and started Team LeGrand, to help those who are living with spinal cord injuries.

The updated list for the 2017 WWE Hall of Fame is now:

-Kurt Angle
-Rick Rude (being inducted by Ricky Steamboat)
-The Rock N’ Roll Express
-Beth Phoenix
-Teddy Long
-Diamond Dallas Page

– Despite returning to action on this week’s episode of Raw, Pro Wrestling Sheet reports that Seth Rollins is still not full cleared to compete.

He has been cleared by doctors to work with some restrictions, but is not cleared to work a full match.

The status of his match with Triple H at Wrestlemania 33 remains unknown.

– After announcing his request to be released a few weeks ago, WWE has finally (and officially) announced that they have parted ways with Jack Swagger. The WWE released a statement yesterday:

“WWE has come to terms on the release of Jack Swagger as of today, March 13, 2017. WWE wishes Swagger the best in all his future endeavours.”

– During the most recent Ring of Honor TV tapings, the team of The Briscoes and the newly debuted Bully Ray followed their win at the 15th Anniversary PPV with a win over the team of Matt Taven, Vinny Marseglia and Silas Young for the ROH Trios Tag Team Titles.

Silas Young was replacing TK O’ Ryan, who broke two bones in his lower leg following a moonsault to the outside during a match at the recent PPV, where his leg connected harshly with the ringside barricade.

Also at the tapings, it appears the ROH Tag Title match between The Hardys and The Young Bucks at Supercard of Honor XI will now be a ladder match, with possibly both the ROH tag belts and The Young Bucks’ Superkick titles all hanging above the ring.

Adam Cole tried to fire The Bucks from The Bullet Club. But the Bucks responded that they can not be fired, as there is only one other member of The Elite, and one leader of Bullet Club: Kenny Omega.

In the main event of Supercard, Christopher Daniels will defend the ROH World Championship against Dalton Castle.

– Hideo Itami made his return to NXT, following a lengthy injury, at a house show in Florida. He made the save for Buddy Murphy, after a post-match beat down, which saw Riddick Moss (and then Murphy) both eat a GTS.

His return to NXT TV is still unknown.

– WWE very recently announced they will make their debut in Norwich, England in May this year, with a two special events showcasing both talent from the UK Championship Tournament and 205 Live.

Both of these shows, however, are now sold out.

– On the WWE Network show Bring It To The Table, it was revealed that a new WWE 24 special on Kurt Angle will be coming to the network in the near future.

There was also a video shown of Kurt Angle visiting WWE Headquarters, where he met with Vince McMahon for the first time in 11 years.

Kurt Angle is set to headline this year’s WWE Hall of Fame Ceremony, and is rumoured to be replacing Mick Foley as the General Manager of Monday Night Raw.

Also, on Bring It To The Table, they announced a live version of the show would be taking place on Thursday March 30th, making it a Wrestlemania week edition.

– After some certainly surprising results, the second round bracket of the New Japan Cup looks like this:

-EVIL vs Yuji Nagata
-Bad Luck Fale vs Toru Yano
-Katsuyori Shibata vs Juice Robinson
-Tomohiro Ishii vs SANADA

Will be very interesting to see how the NJ Cup develops over the coming week.

– The not-so-subtle war of The Hardys vs TNA, in a ‘Broken Hardys Intellectual Property on a Pole Match’ goes on. It led to the outspoken Reby Hardy going on a Twitter rant, and coining the phrase “Fuck That Owl” (regarding the Anthem mascot).

Reby Hardy is now selling a shirt with that very quote on it, through shopmatthardy.com.
