You S-news, you lose… out on news.

– Smackdown Live commentator Mauro Ranallo has not been seen on TV for a few weeks now, with JBL cited as the source for his current absence.

Mauro recently updated his Twitter bio, removing any mention of WWE from it, leading to increased speculation he may be done with the company.

WWE today released a statement saying that Ranallo is still under contract with the company until August 12 2017.

Ranallo has been open about his struggles with Bipolar Disorder in the past. Whatever the case may be, we wish him a healthy recovery and hope he is back on our screens soon.

– Another regular figure from WWE TV who has been missing of late is Kane.

Outside of WWE, Kane (real name Glenn Jacobs) is very active in the world of politics, and will soon be expected to announce plans to run for Mayor of Knox County, Tennessee.

– At the latest set of NXT tapings, whilst Shinsuke Nakamura and Tye Dillinger said their goodbyes, Aleister Black and Drew Galloway made their debuts, so expect to see them on NXT in the coming weeks.

Also at the tapings, Hideo Itami made his return to NXT. At this time, Itami and Bobby Roode are expecting to be in the main event of NXT Takeover: Chicago for the NXT Championship.

– Speaking of Nakamura, current rumours suggest that he made his debut on Smackdown in order to replace John Cena as a new top guy on the brand, at least whilst Cena is out working on non-WWE projects.

– The NJPW PPV ‘Sakura Genesis’ (formerly Invasion Attack) takes place tomorrow.

The main event will see New Japan Cup winner Katsuyori Shibata taking on current IWGP Heavyweight Champion, Kazuchika Okada.

Zack Sabre Jr will also be in his first title match for the company, as he faces Hirooki Goto for the NEVER Openweight Championship.

– WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross recently spoke to A.V Club about his recent return to WWE to call The Undertaker’s last match at Wrestlemania 33, after The Phenom himself personally requested it.

He also mentioned that he has signed a two-year deal with the company and will be working 30-40 dates, although they are yet to be determined.

As it stands due to his new contract, J.R will not be returning to commentary for World of Sport, the upcoming pro-wrestling venture between ITV and Impact Wrestling.
