Cast your mind back to The Game Awards 2017, when indie developers The Astronauts announced their second game: Witchfire. It’s been nearly five years since that announcement, and now the team who previously created The Vanishing Of Ethan Carter are ready to show what they’ve been up to, as Witchfire is coming to early access on the Epic Games Store this year. Check out the trailer above.
Witchfire is a new roguelike shooter that sees The Astronauts return to their roots, as studio co-founders Adrian Chmielarz, Michał Kosieradzki, and Andrzej Poznański helped develop Painkiller and Bulletstorm during their time at People Can Fly. Players will explore huge, beautiful looking levels, filled with monsters and witches to murder, using an array of magic and weaponry to dispatch your foes. Be sure to keep an eye on this one when it enters early access later this year.
