Win Free Hearthstone Packs With New Giveaway

Hearthstone

Blizzard has unveiled a new giveaway for Hearthstone, giving one player the chance to win (and then, presumably, open) 3,000 packs! As a final celebration of the Year of the Mammoth (set to end in April), Blizzard is launching the Quest for Packs Sweepstakes with just over 50,000 prizes to giveaway.

As noted above, one grand prize winner will receive: 3,000 packs (1,000 each from the three expansions released during the Year of the Mammoth: Journey to Un’Goro, Knights of the Frozen Throne and Kobolds & Catacombs); a Lich King helm (featured in a promo video for the Knights of the Frozen Throne expansion); and an apparel set with t-shirt, cap and pin to complete the Hearthstone look.

Meanwhile, 1,000 players will receive a Mammoth Card Bundle (featuring 10 packs from each expansion), and another 50,000 players will win a Mammoth Pack containing three packs (one from each expansion).

Want to claim your share of the 163,000 packs up for grabs? Just login to Hearthstone anytime between today and February 14th, and complete a quest. You can earn one entry to the Sweepstake each day, so make sure you login and get questing.

Not feeling lucky? Well, you can always take advantage of a new pack bundle offer from Blizzard. For a limited time (presumably till the end of the Quest for Packs giveaway), you’ll be able to buy a Mammoth Card Bundle for $19.99 or £16.99. That’s 30 packs at a reduced rate, although as noted above, they will be split equally between the three expansions.

The Quest for Packs giveaway should tie into the release of Patch 10.2, which, as we noted earlier this week, brings nerfs to four of the game’s most notorious cards. Exact release information for these balance changes is still unknown, but judging by this announcement, expect it to be arriving shortly. In the meantime, get your best questing gear ready, and start earning entries for your chance to win some free packs!
