Who Could Be The Fourth Member Of Team Baszler?

Shayna, Bianca, Io and... Ronda?

One of the hottest story developments in all of WWE programming has been the huge announcement of the first-ever women’s WarGames match. On one side, you have Rhea Ripley, Candice LeRae, Tegan Nox, and Mia Yim, and on the other you have the NXT Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler, Io Shirai, and Bianca Belair.

There is so much speculation on who will be the fourth and final member of Team Baszler. Will it be someone returning, someone new or perhaps someone from the main roster? I have an interesting take on who it could possibly be. Before I name that individual, let’s take a look back at what happened on this week’s episode of RAW.

Charly Caruso was interviewing the RAW Women’s Champion, “The Man” Becky Lynch, about her upcoming triple threat match at Survivor Series, where Lynch will face both the SmackDown Women’s Champion, Bayley, and the NXT Women’s Champion, Shayna Baszler.

Lynch was about to answer, but then “The Queen of Spades” interrupted and personally introduced herself to “The Man”. The NXT Women’s Champion showed no fear in the face of Lynch and her message was short and sweet. Baszler followed the same trusty formula that she’s used on all of her opponents, striking fear into the heart of the Raw Women’s Champion.

Baszler made it crystal clear that she was unlike her former MMA trainer and the woman that Lynch defeated at this year’s WrestleMania, Ronda Rousey. “The Queen of Spades” stated that she had been looking forward to meeting Lynch for several years now and clearly she was not impressed. The NXT Women’s Champion told her rival that she was coming straight for Lynch.

What does this have to do with WarGames? For one, the only other time Rousey is mentioned on WWE programming is when referencing her involvement on Total Divas. It has been seven months since ‘Mania, which was the last time the WWE Universe saw “The Baddest Woman On The Planet,” so why would WWE allow Shayna to bring her up now?

What if the final member of Team Shayna is none other than the fourth member of The Four Horsewomen? She’s never competed in NXT and it would be absolutely brilliant for WWE to book Rousey in the first-ever women’s WarGames match.

I can see on the go-home NXT episode the women of both Raw and Friday Night SmackDown led by both Women’s Champions of the main roster paying the black and gold brand a little visit to really hype Survivor Series. A huge brawl would ensue with all the women beating the holy hell out of each other. Lynch and Baszler come face-to-face and the fight is on.

Just as “The Man” locks in the Dis-Arm-Her, wrenching Baszler’s arm back, Rousey’s music blares through Full Sail and the NXT Universe goes completely nuts. The Raw Women’s Champion is left stunned, then Marina Shafir and Jessamyn Duke come to the ring to help. Baszler eventually recovers and pummels Lynch. The show ends with all four members of The Four Horsewomen standing tall.

Many of you may have forgotten that the original plan for last year’s Survivor Series was for then-WWE Raw Women’s Champion Rousey vs. then-WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Lynch, until Nia Jax broke her nose and giving her a concussion. Of course, the blockbuster match would culminate at the Winner-Takes-All Women’s Championship Match.

We never actually got the one-on-one match with Rousey and Lynch and it would be something that the WWE Universe would be red-hot for as long as the buildup makes sense. WWE can even book Rousey vs. Lynch for the Raw Women’s Championship in the main event of WrestleMania 36.
