Everyone’s favorite anime, Demon Slayer, is back with another compilation movie and the timing couldn’t be any better with Season 4 arriving later this year. The theatrical run of the Demon Slayer: To the Hashira Training movie will be held throughout the whole of February 2024.

In Japan, screenings for the film are being held as we speak, whereas for countries such as the US, China, UK, and France, they’ll begin from February 18, 2024. However, if you’re wondering where you can watch the Demon Slayer: To the Hashira Training movie online, then that’s a different story.

Where And When To Rent Demon Slayer: To the Hashira Training Online

Demon Slayer: To the Hashira Training likely won’t be available to rent online after its international theatrical release ends. The movie is essentially a recap of Season 3 and a preview of Episode 1 of the upcoming Demon Slayer: Season 4.

Once screenings for the movie end in all countries, viewers who have missed out on the opportunity will simply have to wait until the anime returns. Demon Slayer: Season 4 is scheduled to air sometime in Spring 2024, likely at the end of March or the beginning of April, so that’s when you should mark your calendars for.

The possibility does exist that we might be able to rent the Demon Slayer: To the Hashira Training movie on Amazon Prime if we’re lucky. All previous seasons are already on the service, so there’s no doubt Amazon Prime is where you’ll need to head if the third movie is made available to rent.

Where And When To Stream Demon Slayer: To the Hashira Training Online

The possibility of Demon Slayer: To the Hashira Training streaming before Season 4 starts airing does exist but the second film in the series, To the Swordsmith Village, was a compilation film too and it also was never made available to stream or rent online. Considering that, chances are slim that the Demon Slayer: To the Hashira Training movie will head to streaming.

However, if it does, Crunchyroll and Amazon Prime will undoubtedly have it up. Both services have the entire series in their catalog, and for the next movie, it shouldn’t be any different given that Ufotable does intend to stream it. Netflix, Hulu, and Apple TV+ might stream the movie too, but only some parts of the series are on these services, so we can’t say for sure what exactly will happen after its theatrical run finishes.

Will Demon Slayer: To the Hashira Training Come To Blu-ray and DVD?

While streaming or renting Demon Slayer: To the Hashira Training might not be possible, it should head to home media. This is also where things get a little tricky.

The Demon Slayer: Mugen Train movie was released via Blu-ray and DVD on June 16, 2021, many months before the second season aired. The second movie, To the Swordsmith Village, didn’t arrive to home media until June 21, 2023, after the Sword Smith Village arc in Season 3 had finished airing.

Since the Demon Slayer: To the Hashira Training movie is a recap too, it’s likely that it will come included as a Blu-ray and DVD bundle with Demon Slayer: Season 4, but only after the new season finishes airing. But no need to fret because as we stated above, the To the Hashira Training movie is basically a preview of the first episode of the fourth season, so if you happen to miss the screenings, you can just watch Season 4 instead.

About Demon Slayer: To the Hashira Training

Similarly to the format of the second film, the Demon Slayer: To the Hashira Training movie is a compilation of the last two episodes of the Swordsmith Village arc adapted in Season 3 and the first episode of the upcoming Season 4 that will adapt the Hashira Training arc. It’s essentially a recap paired with a short sneak peek at what the fourth season will entail.

For the story specifically, the Hashira Training arc of the manga follows Tanjiro, the Hashiras, and the entire Demon Slayer Corps training together one last time before the inevitable final battle against Muzan Kibutsuji and his demon army. The movie will only show a small part of the Hashira Training arc, the remainder of it will be covered in Demon Slayer: Season 4.

If you don’t get a chance to watch the movie in theaters, everything new it contains will be aired again in episode 1 of the fourth season. Having said that, while you wait for the Hashira Training movie, here’s everything you need to know about Demon Slayer: Season 4 before it airs later this Spring.
