The open beta for Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is now available on the Xbox One, and developers Fatshark have announced that the full game will be launching on July 11th as part of the Xbox Games Pass program. Perfect news if you’re looking for something to get you through that summer games slump.

Vermintide 2 has been available on the PC for a while now, and builds upon the Left 4 Dead inspired action of the original game, as you take on hordes of Skaven. The sequel also adds the forces of Chaos into the mix, making levels much more perilous for our heroes. Luckily, Vermintide 2 comes complete with a whole new career progression system that unlocks skills and loot as you play.

As mentioned, the game will launch on Day One as part of the Xbox Game Pass program, though subscribers will be able to upgrade to the Premium Edition, which will include the Sigmar Keep Statue, some Helmgart Heraldry Themed Skins, a pre-order Portrait Frame along with a Premium Edition Portrait Frame, and 6x exclusive Heroic Deeds. Heroic Deeds are missions with set parameters that usually exist to make life more difficult for you and your team. They offer good rewards though, so they’re worth having.
