For a quick recap, here are a few major details uncovered throughout Season 4. It’s finally revealed that the child Mel is carrying is, in fact, Jack’s. Coincidentally, the matter of whether or not Jack is actually the father of Charmaine’s twins comes into question.

Vince, Wes’s identical brother, has been stirring up trouble all around Virgin River. Not only did he almost kill Paige and Christopher, but it was also revealed that it was Vince who shot Jack in the Season 2 finale.

Fortunately, Preacher got in Vince’s way and took him down. Whether or not he’s dead though, remains to be seen in Virgin River: Season 5.

When Is Virgin River: Season 5 Being Released?

The first ten episodes of Virgin River: Season 5 will be releasing on September 7th, 2023. The final two episodes of Season 5 will release on November 20th, 2023, and they will be Christmas themed.

The closest they’d revealed beforehand is that Virgin River: Season 5 will be coming out in Fall 2023. Netflix, the home of Virgin River, announced the release window. The start of filming was already delayed, and early rumors started to spread that it was dropping in July. So, hopefully, it doesn’t get delayed because fans are already on edge.

Here’s some good news though. Even before Virgin River: Season 5 comes out, the series has already been renewed for a Season 6. The series has been doing extremely well on Netflix, so it has a bright and potentially long future ahead.

Will The Cast Return For Virgin River: Season 5?

Rest easy knowing that the cast for Virgin River: Season 5 will remain intact. The Virgin River Instagram account shared a snapshot of a table read with the cast members of Season 5. Most of the beloved cast was present, meaning they’ll all be back for Season 5.

The cast may stay the same, but there’s a big shake-up behind the curtains. The Virgin River showrunner and executive producer, Sue Tenny, will be stepping down to be replaced by Patrick Sean Smith.

What Will Virgin River: Season 5 Be About?

For the first time in what feels like forever, the future of Mel and Jack’s relationship seems bright. First, they find out that Mel’s child truly belongs to Jack. Then, Charmaine reveals that her twins aren’t even Jacks. It seems that the couple is now completely free to enjoy their lives together. Now, the hunt is on to find out who the father of Charmaine’s twins really is.

Things might be going well for Mel and Jack, but the other couples in the series are a different story. Chances are, Vince was simply knocked unconscious rather than dead. He’ll be back with a vengeance in Season 5. Preacher, Paige, and Christopher better be ready.

Denny and Lizzie’s relationship is going downhill after Denny reveals his debilitating disease. They’ll have to make the most of their remaining time together. Well, that’s if they even decide to stay together after the reveal.

There’s also the mysterious figure stalking Melissa, Jack, and the others during dinner at the Season 4 finale. Whoever that is seems to be a new antagonist that will start stirring things up in Virgin River: Season 5.
