Valve Rolls Out New Currencies For Steam Users

Steam

Valve have begun sending international users e-mails which claim that, from the 13th of November, new currencies will be implemented into Steam.

According to Steam Database, these new currencies are:

  • Argentinian Peso
  • Costa Rican Colón
  • Israeli New Shekel
  • Kazakhstani Tenge
  • Kuwaiti Dinar
  • Polish Zloty
  • Qatari Rial
  • Ukrainian Hryvnia
  • Uruguayan Peso
  • Vietnamese Dong
  • South Asian USD Region

Some users have pointed out the noted absence of the Australian Dollar (AUD) from the list, which has presumably been left off due to Valve’s lawsuit troubles in Australia–something that came about in regards to grievances over Steam’s refund policy. However, AUD as a front-facing currency on Steam has been promised for some time now, so we may see it implemented in the near future.
